AN AWARD-WINNING FASHION STUDIO
Established 2018, the design studio AURELIE FONTAN started by implementing holistic circular strategies to bring sustainability and innovation to the Couture sector.
Convinced that bio-fabrication and circular design strategies is what the future holds for the fashion industry, our studio is dedicated to pioneering hybrid new technologies and a new craftsmanship to push for a change through our environmentally-conscious designs.
Through fashion commissions, collaboration and multi-media projects, our portfolio includes major brands and institutions such as Samsung, Netflix, Errol Douglas, Michael Kors, Fashion Scout, and more.
Paris born, designer Aurélie Fontan launched her eponymous label in 2018 as a circular Couture design studio, with a focus on biodesign and the circular economy. Aurélie’s work represents the “techno-craft” concept, where feminine, inspirational and eco-friendly luxury womenswear is produced from the latest technology and unconventional techniques.
With training in Paris, Edinburgh and London at the Royal College of Art, Aurelie's work oscillates between speculation and real-life design solutions for a more symbiotic lifestyle.
In 2019, she co-founded the biodegradable plant-based leather alternative start-up Mykkö.
